Since we don’t usually get a 29th day in February, I decided to take this opportunity to\u00a0count my blessings.\u00a0 So here are 29 things I’m thankful for in no particulary order:<\/p>\n
1.\u00a0 My wonderful husband<\/p>\n
2. My 3 healthy, fun, smart, good-looking, children<\/p>\n
3. My relationship with Jesus<\/p>\n
4. Living in Africa for the better part of 25 years<\/p>\n
5. Having been raised in a Christian home<\/p>\n
6. My health<\/p>\n
7. I’ve never been in a car accident<\/p>\n
8. No broken bones (mine or my kids)… yet =)<\/p>\n
9. A home with running water (today)<\/p>\n
10. A home with electricity (most of the time)<\/p>\n
11.\u00a0Internet in my home (most of the time)<\/p>\n
12. Good friends in several countries<\/p>\n
13. God’s Word in my mother tongue language (several versions even)<\/p>\n
14. Many people who are praying for us and our ministry<\/p>\n
15. Opportunities I’ve had to travel<\/p>\n
16. Music<\/p>\n
17. Good memories of a pretty happy childhood, youth, young adulthood, … etc.<\/p>\n
18. That I got to go to a Jackson 5 concert (a long time ago)<\/p>\n
19. The priviledge of prayer<\/p>\n
20. hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, and other fun foods<\/p>\n
21. The ability to see, smell, taste, hear and feel<\/p>\n
22. Forgiveness<\/p>\n
23. Ministry partners who donated a total of\u00a078% of our needed support in 2011 fiscal year!<\/p>\n
24. Laughter<\/p>\n
25. Sun, rain, snow (and that I don’t currently live in a place where I have to shovel a lot of the latter)<\/p>\n
26. Our housekeeper and guards who minister to us in order to\u00a0enable us to do the ministry we are here to do.<\/p>\n
27. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,\u00a0faithfulness,\u00a0gentleness, and\u00a0self control – well ok, I’m thankful for those fruits of the Spirit of God as well as gifts of the spirit and … ok, let’s just say, the\u00a0gift of the Holy Spirit for believers.<\/p>\n
28. That all the appliances in my house work – actually, that I have labor saving appliances like washer, dryer,\u00a0 fridge, stove, coffee maker, hot water pot, blender, mixer.<\/p>\n
