{"id":116,"date":"2009-12-03T00:52:41","date_gmt":"2009-12-03T04:52:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=116"},"modified":"2009-12-03T00:52:41","modified_gmt":"2009-12-03T04:52:41","slug":"december-2009-prayer-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=116","title":{"rendered":"December 2009 Prayer Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We just enjoyed a full week with Ron&#8217;s sister, her husband and their 2 sons (about Nathan and Ben&#8217;s ages) over the week of Thanksgiving.\u00a0 We have so much to be thankful for.\u00a0 Since I didn&#8217;t get an update out last month, here are praises for October and November:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Praise God with us for<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>time spent with the Fellowship Covenant Church congregation on Sunday morning Oct. 11, both in the Church Service and an adult Sunday School class.<\/li>\n<li>the opportunity to host former Covenant missionary colleagues Drs. Gwen &amp; Mike Luepke who\u00a0were in the area for meetings.\u00a0 It was fitting they were here to celebrate Michelle&#8217;s 14th birthday as it was Dr. Mike who delivered her all those\u00a0 years ago in Congo!<\/li>\n<li>Michelle&#8217;s life (14 years old)<\/li>\n<li>Nathan&#8217;s life (12 years old)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Global Outreach Sunday at our church, with a focus on Muslim ministry &#8211; I&#8217;m so thankful for the members of the mission commission (that I chair) and all their help; for all the participants which included Covenant missionaries Andy Larsen, Galen Johnson, and the Norens. I&#8217;m thankful for Sheryl and Kristina Noren&#8217;s wonderful cooking at the evening meal; and for the panel discussion on Muslim ministry that followed.\u00a0\u00a0 Significant things happened throughout the day.<\/li>\n<li>time spent with the congregation at Faith Covenant in Farmington Hills, MI.\u00a0 We enjoyed an overnight with former Covenant missionary colleagues Pastor Dennis and Mary Lynn Carlson, and time in both morning services, plus in an adult Sunday School class.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0several individuals and churches who are joining our team of ministry partners, pledging to support us in prayer and financially as we work toward 80% support level in order to go to Cameroon next summer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pray with us in December for<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>rich blessings as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus with\u00a0 family gatherings, kids school concerts, and what may turn out to be our last Christmas in snow for a few years, Lord willing.
