{"id":1132,"date":"2012-01-04T08:08:23","date_gmt":"2012-01-04T13:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=1132"},"modified":"2012-01-04T08:08:23","modified_gmt":"2012-01-04T13:08:23","slug":"january-2012-prayer-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=1132","title":{"rendered":"January 2012 Prayer Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!\u00a0 Unlike Narnia where there was always winter and never Christmas, here in Cameroon we have Christmas every year but never winter snows.\u00a0 We\u2019re hot, dry, and sunny with harmattan dust dimming the bright sun.\u00a0 Yet we rejoice in the birth of God\u2019s son, whose brilliance is never dimmed<\/p>\n<p>For December praise God with us for:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 Praise God the work has been going well on the new hostel \u2013\u00a0 floor was poured Dec. 22, walls going up the first of the new year.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 A safe trip for Covenant missionaries Paul &amp; Sheryl Noren and Marta Klein who drove here from Congo via Central African Rep.\u00a0 The trip went well.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 The dedication of the New Testament in the Noni language.\u00a0 Praise God that He now speaks directly to the Noni people.\u00a0 Praise too, for the ministry of RFIS (among other mission services) that made this possible, by taking care of the educational needs of the missionary translator family.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 A great vacation trip to the beach in Kribi, Cameroon Dec. 27 to Jan. 2.\u00a0 So thankful for safe travels both ways.<\/p>\n<p>For January pray with us for:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 A good break from school and work, then a strong start to the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> semester January 15.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 January 9 to February 10 Janet will be helping to orient new missionaries.\u00a0 One of my responsibilities will be to work with children of new missionary families.\u00a0 Pray for creative ideas, good communication and preparation in advance of a couple discussions I\u2019m leading for adults.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 In January Covenant World Relief director, Dave Husby and 3 others are coming through Yaound\u00e9 to visit Central African Republic.\u00a0 Pray for their travels and documentation.\u00a0 They were not given multiple entry visas that were requested, so transit visas will be needed for their return trip Jan. 18.\u00a0 Also pray for God\u2019s purpose to be fulfilled in this trip.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Safe and secure travel for others coming back to Cameroon and CAR after furloughs, and for travel back from villages of service to school.<\/p>\n<p>May the Lord bless you in the New Year!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=1132&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!\u00a0 Unlike Narnia where there was always winter and never Christmas, here in Cameroon we have Christmas every year but never winter snows.\u00a0 We\u2019re hot, dry, and sunny with harmattan dust dimming the bright sun.\u00a0 Yet we rejoice in the birth of God\u2019s son, whose brilliance is never dimmed For&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":65,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1132","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-prayer-updates"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
