\u00a0We are Ron and Janet Ziegelbaur, missionaries with the Evangelical Covenant Church.\u00a0 Ron works in maintenance and technical services; Janet has done a variety of ministries including\u00a0Christian literature, home schooling our 3 children (the oldest of whom is in college), and assisting with mission bookkeeping.<\/p>\n

Ron first went to Africa as a short term missionary with the Covenant in Congo <\/a>(then Zaire)\u00a0from 1986 to 1988.\u00a0 He returned to Congo in 1991, a commissioned\u00a0full time\u00a0Covenant missionary.<\/p>\n

Janet served initially under Wycliffe Bible Translators in Congo <\/a>(Brazzaville)\u00a0as\u00a0 one of three women working in the Munukutuba language from 1987 to 1988.\u00a0\u00a0From 1988 to 1991 she served as a short term missionary with the Covenant in Congo (then Zaire).\u00a0 She returned to Congo in 1993, a commissioned full time Covenant\u00a0missionary and advisor to the Congo Covenant Church (CEUM<\/a>) department of literature.<\/p>\n

In September 1993 we met, and\u00a0were married in Michigan June 18, 1994.\u00a0 Since then we have lived and worked in Congo\u00a0(Zaire), Central African Republic and Yaounde, Cameroon.\u00a0\u00a0 Michelle, now married and teaching Science in the US, was born in Congo\/Zaire, Nathan, now in college, was born in Grand Rapids, MI, and Ben, also in college, was born in Central African Republic.<\/p>\n

Since July 2010 we’ve been serving in Yaounde, Cameroon\u00a0where Ron is the Director of Technical Services at Rain Forest International School (RFIS) and teaches Industrial Arts\u00a0classes.\u00a0\u00a0He oversaw the construction of a prayer chapel, a new student\u00a0hostel and staff housing unit. \u00a0His most recent construction project is a covered gym at RFIS. \u00a0Janet serves\u00a0the administrative role of Country Coordinator for Covenant missionaries\u00a0in Cameroon\u00a0and helps with Covenant\u00a0mission accounting. \u00a0At RFIS she serves as Guidance Counselor. \u00a0Once a week she disciples a group of high school girls at RFIS.<\/p>\n
