{"id":1377,"date":"2011-05-30T09:00:50","date_gmt":"2011-05-30T14:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ywupdate\/?p=1377"},"modified":"2011-05-16T14:36:05","modified_gmt":"2011-05-16T19:36:05","slug":"survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ywupdate\/2011\/05\/30\/survey\/","title":{"rendered":"National Youth Survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2011\/05\/young-adults.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto[1377]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1379\" style=\"margin: 5px\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2011\/05\/young-adults.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"127\" height=\"127\" \/><\/a>Do you really know how the youth in your community or ministry feel about God, Church, ethics and sexuality? \u00a0How would it affect your strategies if you had a \u201csnapshot\u201d of their REAL beliefs, values and behaviors? \u00a0What would you do differently if you knew exactly how they felt about your youth ministry\/organization?<\/p>\n<p>These areas are being explored in a national survey and your youth ministry\/organization is invited to participate.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The uniqueness of this survey is that participating youth ministries\/organizations will not only receive the overall results, but <em>also (anonymous) results specifically for their participating group.<\/em> That means you could poll a school, community, or youth group and learn the real attitudes of that population of youth \u2013 not just their \u201cSunday answers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><em>Touch is the Target Urban Youth Survey <strong>Phase II<\/strong><\/em><strong> <\/strong>is a national, comprehensive, anonymous, and voluntary survey that gives young people a voice as we examine how effective organizations have been in understanding and connecting with the Young people that attend their youth groups, services, after school programs and events. The survey has been designed for youth ages 13-23. \u00a0It examines their:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>beliefs<\/li>\n<li>practices<\/li>\n<li>habits<\/li>\n<li>values<\/li>\n<li>preferences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This information will help adults better discern the best way to build relationships that prepare young people to live out their destiny.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interested?<\/strong><br \/>\nTo obtain a unique Code for a youth ministry\/organization to track the results of the young people in their group, email <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"mailto:surveys@destinationdestiny.org\" target=\"_blank\">surveys@destinationdestiny.org<\/a><\/span>. \u00a0Provide your youth ministry\/organization name and key contact information. \u00a0A Code will be emailed that can be shared with the young people.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To      participate, have the young people go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.destinationdestiny.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.destinationDestiny.org<\/a> click      on the <strong><em>Start Survey link<\/em><\/strong> and complete the survey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide      the following link to your students &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/guest.cvent.com\/d\/pdq5mx\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/guest.cvent.com\/d\/pdq5mx<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preview the survey by taking it yourself, make sure you enter <strong>Adult Leader<\/strong> in the age question so your results have no bearing on the results for younger participants.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, in advance, for taking time to have your Youth to participate in this research. \u00a0We believe this will provide you valuable information to assist your organization in partnering with Young People rather than them being the objects of your efforts, an important and empowering distinction for developing new generations of leaders for today as well as tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to contact me at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"mailto:dbyrd@destinationdestiny.org\" target=\"_blank\">dbyrd@destinationdestiny.org<\/a><\/span>.
