| As the summer comes to its final month and back to school plans flourish, we wanted to wish you a great start to the new school year! May you have a wonderful August preparing for a great year of ministry. One of the unique truths about being in youth ministry together, as a Covenant family, is that we are all a part of something bigger than just our local context—indeed all of us have this sense of excitement and urgency as the fall deadlines approach. May you enjoy the ride the Holy Spirit has you on this fall, and may his peace sustain you in every plan you make.
I also wanted to bring you up to speed on one of the things we are working on here at Covenant Offices. Similar to how you value and strategize for effective communications in your local context; we are striving to do the best job communicating with you and the youth ministry world both in (and out) of the ECC. With that in mind, we have been working on a new strategy and plan that we are hoping to launch in September. During August I am putting on hold official posts to our blog, social media outlets, and emails. You might see a few things posted from time to time, but we are working towards a formal launch in early September with a slightly new vision. Please note this “hold” does not include the CHIC2015 website and social networks. In fact, we have big plans for the CHIC website, twitter feed, Instagram, and Facebook page starting in August so stay tuned!
