The main project that I (Randy) have been working with for the last 14 years is a good size tilapia hatchery that we have developed to be an income generator for ministries here.   It is much more than that as we integrate our faith into the project and with the lives of the people that have become involved with the hatchery. Camp and sport ministries in Russia

Since 1967, Covenant Camps and Covenant World Mission have partnered together. Lives are being transformed all around the world, because of the generosity of camp participants. Throughout the years, campers have given offerings in support of National Church partners engaged in ministries unique to their settings, reaching people of all ages with the love of Jesus Christ. I knew very little about the work prior to traveling to Thailand. Thankfully, my ignorance was broken as we traveled discovering the work of God in the lives of people and creation throughout Thailand.

The work is alive – the church is dynamic; the ministry holistic, and the structures supportive. Without overly romanticizing the work in Thailand, it is clear that the missio Dei is evermore embraced by the believers in this part of the world. Leaders and participants in Thailand spoke of their faith as a movement. The grammars of faith were kinetic not institutional; pentecostal not overly pious. The life in Christ movement throughout Thailand is a dynamic and powerful movement – from God for people (and creation). Continue Reading »



CHIC 2009 Offering to Support Missions in Thailand

CHICAGO, IL (August 22, 2008) – CHIC 2009 organizers have announced that the offering taken at next year’s event will benefit Covenant World Relief projects and Evangelical Covenant Church missionaries in Thailand.

The specific projects in Thailand will be announced at a later date.

In 2006, CHIC attendees gave $100,000 to a school in Sudan. The money funded the construction and operation of a new school, health clinic, and food program.
