I got the chance to get to know some LTMs that I had never had the opportunity to meet just simply because our paths haven\u2019t crossed living on different continents. \u00a0I was a little unsure as to how they would react to me being \u201cthe new kid on the block\u201d but as the case has been so many times with this amazing Family, they welcomed me with open arms and I believe that I now have more life-long friends and amazing colleagues. \u00a0 I am blessed to be a part of this Family.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>One night in Chicago, we met with retired LTMs, which is always an eye opening experience to realize how easy we have it these days with Skype, facebook, and other technology compared to how they had it back in the day. \u00a0Towards the end of the evening, some of us were asked to share the latest happenings from our lands and I was actually sitting at the back of the room hoping that I wouldn\u2019t be called on to share. \u00a0I had no idea what I would say! \u00a0I thought, \u201cI\u2019ve been in America for 2 years. \u00a0The school has been closed. \u00a0Nothing is happening. \u00a0I\u2019m not even sure when I\u2019ll be returning for certain\u2026.please don\u2019t call on me, please don\u2019t call on me\u2026.\u201d \u00a0As I sat there feeling the anxiety building about what I could possibly say, my phone buzzed with a text message. \u00a0It was a picture from one of the teens I met at the camp in VA in June. \u00a0She sent a picture of a crayon with the words, \u201cMade in (the land I love)\u201d on it and texted, \u201cPraying for you.\u201d \u00a0(<em>This is something I ask everyone I speak to about the land I love to do when they see one of those \u201cMade in\u201d tags.)<\/em> \u00a0Wow! \u00a0How cool was that? \u00a0My heart just burst with joy and amazement because Dad\u2019s timing is always <strong><em>right on time<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 So, when my name was called soon thereafter, I had the confidence I needed and the words somehow just flowed together. \u00a0Now if I could just remember this the <em>next<\/em> time I\u2019m anxious about His timing. \u00a0Oh, what a slow learner I am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/serveglobally?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=771&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Christy In the six short years that I\u2019ve been in the Covie Fam, I\u2019ve gotten to meet a lot of awesome people that I now consider life-long friends.
