The summer is coming to an end, and fall will soon be upon us.  Fall is a time for reaping harvest, renewal and assessing what the next crop will be and how to make it even better.  We are gearing up for the Southeast Conference’s Fall Retreat for pastors and spouses.  It is October 5-7 at Caraway Conference Center in Sophia, North Carolina (www.caraway.org/conf.)

You need to be there, not only for the retooling that you will get from Dave Olson, Executive Ministry of Church Growth and Evangelism, and the author of  The American Church in Crises, but to relax, connect and be reinvigorated by the beauty of the rustic North Carolina mountain range.

Unity is essential for the body of Christ, and it is necessary for the Southeast Conference.  When we think about Jesus’ prayer in John 17, where He requested of the Father that his followers “…be one as He and the Father”, He was calling for unity and uniformity. There is something that becomes very powerful and fruitful when believers display this kind of spirit of togetherness.  It is better together; so, don’t miss this opportunity for us to be together.
