{"id":9538,"date":"2001-12-13T13:08:07","date_gmt":"2001-12-13T18:08:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/?p=9538"},"modified":"2011-07-12T13:08:55","modified_gmt":"2011-07-12T18:08:55","slug":"1888","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/2001\/12\/13\/1888\/","title":{"rendered":"Merge Ministries Looking for Volunteers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN JUAN, TX (December 13, 2001)\u00a0 &#8211; Covenant Merge Ministries, which partners with Covenant Mission Connection (CMC) through the Department of World Mission in the Evangelical Covenant Church, is seeking volunteers for various projects in the coming months.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div>Covenant Merge Ministries Director Dale Lusk outlined some of the needs facing the organization:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translators who are fluent in Spanish.<\/li>\n<li>Construction supervisors.<\/li>\n<li>Drivers (must be 25 years of age or older).<\/li>\n<li>Food coordinators (to shop and organize meals) for winter and spring projects.<\/li>\n<li>Translator for a mission trip to Valle Hermoso, Mexico, March 9-16.<\/li>\n<li>Driver, food coordinator and translator for a trip to Juarez March 16-23.<\/li>\n<li>Translator and food coordinator for a trip to Monterrey March 16-23.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Lusk said that various volunteers may also be needed for a number of trips between February 16 and March 29.<\/p>\n<div>Merge Ministries is beginning to recruit staff members for summer teams. Applicants need to provide information concerning fluency in Spanish, practical skills and financial considerations (transportation costs to and from Texas).
