CHICAGO, IL (August 17, 2009) \u2013 The Abundant Life Center (ALC) in Thailand has made available more of the special bags that sold out quickly at CHIC 2009.

\n\"Bags\"The bags can be purchased through the online Covenant Bookstore with net proceeds used to support the ALC ministry. ALC is one of the holistic mission projects that received support from this year\u2019s CHIC offering.<\/p>\n

The bags cost $25 each and come in three styles, each with a different interior color lining. To purchase a bag, click here<\/a>. The bags will not be shipped until late October due to production and shipping timelines.<\/p>\n

ALC is located in Bangkok and seeks to help people who have migrated to the city from the countryside to find jobs and develop life skills. “Our hope at Abundant Life Center is people will find a new dream for their life,” says Covenant missionary Karen Groot, who leads the ministry.<\/p>\n

Women in the ALC Crafts project use local Thai fabrics to sew small bags and purses that are then sold internationally. They made 500 custom messenger bags that CHIC attendees purchased.<\/p>\n
