Horner who is leaving his position.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div>Both Horner and his wife, Sue, were recognized for their service to the\u00a0 university. Both were presented with honorary alumnus awards by Charles\u00a0 Peterson, dean of academic affairs, and Horner was presented with a\u00a0 certificate from Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley who proclaimed December\u00a0 11, 2004, as David Horner Day in Chicago, honoring the president for his\u00a0 loyal service during the past 18 years.<\/p>\n<div>The university awarded 84 graduate degrees, 38 Bachelor of Arts, 16\u00a0 Bachelor of Science, two Bachelor of Music, and 39 Bachelor of General\u00a0 Studies degrees. Adam London, a part of Alaska Christian College&#8217;s first\u00a0 graduating class (2002), was among the North Park graduates this winter\u00a0 and is the first Alaska Christian College graduate to go on and complete\u00a0 an undergraduate degree.<\/p>\n<div>Located in Chicago, North Park University is a Christian liberal arts\u00a0 university that serves 2,800 undergraduate and graduate students from\u00a0 around the country and the world.
