He is from\u00a0 Strathmore, Alberta.<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2011\/06\/1200.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto[8251]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8252\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2011\/06\/1200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"296\" \/><\/a>Josephson signed to play with league affiliate Athletes in Action in\u00a0 Xenia, Ohio. His play this fall earned him a recommendation to play in\u00a0 the league.<\/div>\n<div>As for all freshmen, his first year of college all-year ball stretched\u00a0 Josephson&#8217;s stamina. Playing an additional 44 games in the summer will push it even further,\u00a0 but Vikings head coach Luke Johnson says Josephson should adapt well.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Brady is a real mature kid,&#8221; Johnson says. &#8220;He is going to be able to\u00a0 handle the rigors of day-in, day-out baseball. From a talent standpoint,\u00a0 Brady is going to find out that he&#8217;s as good as any of the people he\u00a0 will be playing against.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>Johnson is quick to praise his third baseman&#8217;s talent on the field, but\u00a0 he is just as enthusiastic about Josephson&#8217;s life off the field.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;Brady is a good person, an outstanding student, and is very\u00a0 service-oriented. He is always trying to do something for someone else,&#8221;\u00a0 Josephson says. &#8220;The fact that Brady has committed to play for Athletes\u00a0 in Action speaks to the quality of person that he is. You&#8217;ve got to be a\u00a0 good player to play for AIA, but you have to be an even better person.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>Athletes in Action (AIA) is a worldwide sports ministry. According to\u00a0 its website, AIA seeks to develop the athletes spiritual life as well as\u00a0 their baseball skills. Athletes participate in Bible studies and\u00a0 ministry training to equip them to share their faith.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We have had alums play for AIA in the past, and they have nothing but\u00a0 wonderful things to say about their opportunities,&#8221; Johnsons says. &#8220;If\u00a0 Brady has a good summer playing in the Great Lakes League, that&#8217;s\u00a0 obviously going to make him a more attractive prospect in the minds of\u00a0 professional decision-makers.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>Josephson is the second Viking to sign a summer contract. Oney Guillen\u00a0 will play with the Thunder Bay Border Cats in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The\u00a0 team won the 2005 championship in the Northwoods League, one of the top\u00a0 three for wooden bat summer leagues.<\/div>\n<div>Johnson says the extra experience gained by the players will strengthen\u00a0 the Vikings overall.
