Evie  Peterson was named to the Third Team.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mount, a 5-9 junior guard from Elgin, Illinois, was a major reason the  team improved its record, defeated several nationally ranked teams this  year and made the conference post-season tournament.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She clearly elevated her game,&#8221; said Jack Surridge, athletic director  and head coach for the women&#8217;s basketball team. &#8220;She&#8217;s statistically up  about six points per game.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She also placed in the top 10 of five categories based on conference  play. Mount ranked:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Second in steals, heisting 35 (2.5 per game average)<\/li>\n<li>Second in turnover to assist ration (.86)<\/li>\n<li>Fourth in scoring with 214 points (15.3)<\/li>\n<li>Fourth in assists, with 43 (3.07)<\/li>\n<li>Ninth in field goal percentage, shooting 66-145 (.455)<\/li>\n<li>Tied for ninth in minutes played totaling 462 (33.0)<\/li>\n<li>12th in free throw percentage, making 70 of 97 (.722)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peterson is a 5-11 sophomore from Eagan, Minnesota. She ranked:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fourth in offensive rebounds with 39  (2.79 per game average)<\/li>\n<li>13th in defensive rebounds, grabbing 54 (3.86)<\/li>\n<li>Eighth in total rebounding, pulling down 93 (6.6)<\/li>\n<li>11th in scoring with 160 (11.4)<\/li>\n<li>11th in steals, taking away 23 (1.64)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the first year for Peterson to play with the team \u2013 she attended  Covenant Bible College-Canada last year.
