{"id":7736,"date":"2006-05-23T16:23:04","date_gmt":"2006-05-23T21:23:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/?p=7736"},"modified":"2011-07-06T08:32:00","modified_gmt":"2011-07-06T13:32:00","slug":"4918","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/2006\/05\/23\/4918\/","title":{"rendered":"Athletes Recognized for Scholastic Achievement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CHICAGO, IL (May 23, 2006) &#8211; North Park University students Kari Anderson and Annika  Safstrom were named National Scholar Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches  Association.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The award is given to varsity rowers in at least their second year of  eligibility who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above  and have competed in a varsity boat for at least 75 percent of the spring  season.<\/p>\n<p>Both Anderson and Safstrom are members of the team&#8217;s varsity eight-person  crew.
