Eriksson became the second member of the men\u2019s soccer team to be named Player of the Week in the College Conference of Illinois &amp; Wisconsin (CCIW) on Tuesday.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nEriksson, a junior forward from Varnamo, Sweden, scored both goals in the Vikings&#8217; 2-1 victory over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday to open up CCIW play. Eriksson has four goals and one assist on the year, including 19 shots in leading the Vikings to a 7-0-1 record.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Austin Person was named CCIW player of the week.<\/p>\n<p>Despite improving their record to 7-0-1 by defeating Illinois Wesleyan 2-1 and tying Concordia (Wisconsin) 1-1, the Vikings tumbled out of the national and regional polls of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.<\/p>\n<p>The team had cracked the national Top 20 for the first time in the school\u2019s history last week.
