CHICAGO, IL (November 21, 2006) \u2013 Zondervan Publishing has begun marketing the 24\/7 Experience <\/em>youth curriculum first produced by the Evangelical Covenant Church\u2019s Department of Christian Formation.

\nThe material was put together for CHIC 2003. The seven-part video follows teenagers cross-country as they learn how to apply their faith to make a difference in the world. During their trip, the youth meet Shane Claiborne of The Simple Way, Gary Haugen of International Justice Mission, Candi Pearson, a Passion recording artist, and Ralph Winter, producer of the X-Men<\/em> movies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we finished 24\/7, we felt it was such a wonderful piece,\u201d says Marti Burger, director of youth and family ministries. \u201cWe just thought there were a lot of other people who could take advantage of this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Department leaders contacted Youth Specialties, who picked up the project. Zondervan is distributing the video because it bought Youth Specialties earlier this year.<\/p>\n

So far, 3,000 copies have been shipped to stores, Burger says. \u201cZondervan told us they\u2019re real happy with it.\u201d\u00a0 A study guide accompanies the curriculum.<\/p>\n
