\nMcKnight, the Karl A. Olsson professor in religious studies and author of numerous books, including The Jesus Creed<\/em>, focuses on \u201cwhy the mother of Jesus was more revolutionary than we\u2019ve been led to believe.\u201d In his article, McKnight declares, \u201cOn the horizon today is nothing less than a Protestant reclamation of Mary . . .\u201d<\/p>\n

McKnight draws upon the work for his recently released book, The Real Mary<\/em>, in which he says the mother of Jesus should play a more pivotal role in the life of evangelicals.
