Participants\u2014who must be between the ages of 18 and 24\u2014live together in a house for three weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Each day follows a three-part rhythm. Mornings include biblical teaching, and the afternoons are spent in the community. Participants gather in the evening to debrief the day.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, participants have visited sites such as the Santa Clara County Prison, a homeless shelter, and local churches. One week is spent traveling through California to explore the history of African Americans, Asian Americans, and Hispanic Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the denomination\u2019s ethnic commissions will sponsor one participant.
