DEERFIELD, IL (May 15, 2009) \u2013 Evangelical Covenant Church ministers and educators will be among the speakers and facilitators participating in the Asian North American Theology and Ministry Consultation to be held Monday through Wednesday at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

\nThe event is being sponsored by the Carl F. H. Henry and Catalyst Leadership Center, a resource center for Asian American ministry. More than 100 people are expected at the event.<\/p>\n
“This will prove to be a significant work for not just Asian American ministries, but all those who are in multicultural contexts,” says Greg Yee, director of congregational and leadership development for the Pacific Southwest Conference.<\/p>\n
Covenant Pastor Dave Gibbons will speak. Other Covenant facilitators include Nancy Sugakawa, Soong-Chan Rah, Peter Cha, Al Tizon, and Yee. The facilitators, along with Covenanter Vicki Tsui, will contribute to a book project around the topic \u201cHousehold of God.\u201d<\/p>\n
The book will address issues that include lay leadership, women, intergenerational ministries, children, disillusionment, and global issues.<\/p>\n
