{"id":478,"date":"2009-04-30T19:59:30","date_gmt":"2009-04-30T19:59:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/?p=478"},"modified":"2010-12-22T13:07:35","modified_gmt":"2010-12-22T18:07:35","slug":"7030","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/2009\/04\/30\/7030\/","title":{"rendered":"North Pacific Conference Welcomes Three New Churches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CLACKAMAS, OR (April 30, 2009) \u2013 Delegates to the North Pacific Conference Annual Meeting held Friday-Saturday recommended three new churches for membership into the denomination and honored their former superintendent.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Meeting at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastridgechurch.org\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eastridge Covenant Church<\/a>, the delegates celebrated the new congregations as they emphasized the weekend\u2019s theme of \u201cStronger Together.\u201d The three churches are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cgcovenant.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Common Ground Covenant Church<\/a> in Meridian, Idaho; <a href=\"http:\/\/dundeecovenantchurch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dundee Covenant Church<\/a> in Dundee, Oregon; and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kitsapalive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alive Covenant Church<\/a> in Poulsbo, Washington<\/p>\n<p>Delegates approved a revised 2009 budget of $1,034,712 for 2009 and a 2010 budget of $1,037,126.<\/p>\n<p>During the Friday night worship, the conference named Glenn Palmberg \u201csuperintendent emeritus\u201d and his wife, Sharon, \u201cfirst lady emeritus.\u201d Palmberg was superintendent of the conference before serving as the denomination\u2019s president.
