MINNEAPOLIS, MN (May 2, 2007) \u2013 Minnehaha Academy is offering an online course in Christian ethics for high school juniors, seniors and adults who attend Evangelical Covenant churches.

\nParticipants will join a discussion-based investigation of morality in the context of the Christian faith led by Jeffrey Crafton, teacher of sacred studies at Minnehaha.<\/p>\n

The curriculum probes contemplative questions like, \u201cHow should a Christian live with moral integrity?\u201d and \u201cHow does a Christian make decisions about today\u2019s social and moral issues?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pretty intense class,\u201d says Don Johnson, communications manager.<\/p>\n

The eight-week study begins June 18 at a special introductory price of $100. Registration deadline is June 11. The same study will be offered in the fall starting September 24.<\/p>\n

Students will not earn high school credit, but will receive a certificate of completion that they can attach to a college resume. School officials say the class is an opportunity for members of a Sunday school class or small group that are looking for curriculum.<\/p>\n

Interested individuals can register by calling 612-728-7756 or by visiting the Minnehaha website<\/a> and selecting the news and events link.<\/p>\n

The school recently was one of only 50 in the country to be honored for its Advanced Placement program<\/a>. The Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church sponsors the school.<\/p>\n
