CBC closed the campus in 2006 and ceased operations at its campuses in La Merced, Ecuador, and Strathmore, Alberta, in 2007.<\/p>\nWINDSOR, CO (September 4, 2008) \u2013 Covenant Bible College has sold its Windsor campus for $1.6 million to a couple who want to use the property for ministry and community service.

\u201cThe CBC board is excited to see the Colorado campus go to someone with a vision for new ministry,\u201d says Paul Lessard, acting director of CBC. \u201cIt is a wonderful facility in an unbeatable location and it is great to know the Lord will continue to use it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gary and Jonell Young own a sign business in Denver and Las Vegas. According to Lessard, \u201cGary feels the first part of his life was \u2018learning,\u2019 the second part was \u2018earning\u2019 and now, he is in the \u2018returning\u2019 phase.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cGary felt a strong call to purchase the campus and that the ministry will follow,” Lessard says. The Youngs are considering a variety of possibilities that include weddings in the chapel, providing continued housing for workers still helping with cleanup following the Windsor tornado, offering space for church plants, and being the site of discipleship and worship retreats.<\/p>\n
The Strathmore campus was sold in 2007. Negotiations are under way with the Ecuadorian National Police to purchase the La Merced facility.<\/p>\n
