CHICAGO, IL (July 18, 2008) \u2013 Adam Phillips, pastor of Resurrection Covenant Church,<\/a> is among several people featured in a new video<\/a> by Bread for the World (BFTW) encouraging churches to participate in the organization\u2019s 2008 Offering of Letters.

\nThrough its Offering of Letters campaign, BFTW, a partner of the Evangelical Covenant Church, urges church members to write letters to Congress during the worship service in support of hunger-fighting legislation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWriting a letter to my Congressman is a way for me to be evangelical and to share the good news that God cares for hungry people,\u201d Phillips says in the video. Covenant churches across the country have participated in a previous Offering of Letters campaign.<\/p>\n
