{"id":2031,"date":"2008-06-24T18:49:22","date_gmt":"2008-06-24T18:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/?p=2031"},"modified":"2010-12-22T12:24:14","modified_gmt":"2010-12-22T17:24:14","slug":"6377","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/newswire\/2008\/06\/24\/6377\/","title":{"rendered":"Praise Gathering Brings Feast Experience to a Close"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GREEN LAKE, WI (June 24, 2008) \u2013 Nearly a thousand participants joined in praise and prayer as The Feast drew to a close this morning on the grounds of the Green Lake Conference Center, where the 123rd Annual Meeting was poised to shift into high gear during this evening\u2019s opening worship service.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/uploads\/Vm\/fs\/Vmfs9m47wCGqvWF3SIngMg\/Feast.jpg\" alt=\"Matt\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" align=\"right\" \/>The morning service capped a weekend of activities that began Saturday, offering a wide range of opportunities for worship, study, and just plain fun for all members of the family.<\/p>\n<p>Participants literally rocked to the worship music led Monday evening by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/cov\/news\/item6256\" target=\"_blank\">Walter Whitman<\/a>, president and musical director of the much-acclaimed Soul Children of Chicago, a choral group he founded in 1981. He was supported by The Feast praise band, lead by Matt Lundgren, executive director of music at Willowcreek Community Church and a lifelong Covenanter.
