CHICAGO, IL (May 14, 2008) \u2013 Only two days remain to take advantage of the early delegate registration fee deadline for the 123rd Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church in June.

\nThe meeting will take place June 24-26 at Green Lake, Wisconsin, immediately following The FEAST.<\/p>\n

Delegates who register by the May 16 (Friday) deadline will pay $295 \u2013 after that deadline, the fee will be $325. For a more detailed list of registration fees and related information, visit the 2008 Annual Meeting area of the Covenant website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although lodging on the grounds of the Green Lake Conference Center is sold out for the Annual Meeting, a variety of accommodations is available within five to 10 miles of the conference center. Call Jill Ulven, Annual Meeting registrar, at 773-784-3000 to learn more about accommodations available in nearby Ripon, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is helpful for us to know as quickly as possible how many people plan on attending the meeting so that we can anticipate their needs and make appropriate preparations to better serve them,\u201d says Melissa M. Velez-Luce, Annual Meeting manager. Orchestrating a meeting of this size involves considerable detail, she notes, from ordering enough chairs and acquiring enough communion trays to arranging for sound systems, podiums, and the personnel to tear down and set up the meeting space for business sessions and worship services. \u201cThis all requires educated estimates on how many people will be in our midst.\u201d<\/p>\n
