CHICAGO, IL (November 12, 2009) – Women Ministries of the Central Conference<\/a> (WMCC) delivered 16 \u201cDressers for Dignity\u201d to a shelter serving women and children.

\n\"Dressers\"The dressers were donated to Hannah House, which is part of Cornerstone Community Outreach<\/a> (CCO), a ministry of Jesus People USA<\/a> Covenant Church.<\/p>\n

\u201cDressers for people who live in a shelter with limited privacy are a very big blessing,\u201d CCO Executive Director Sandy Ramsey wrote in a letter thanking the women for the donation. \u201cThey represent more than you think. If a family’s whole life is out of control due to homelessness, a dresser is something that helps a mother keep her children’s clothing in order. At least some little part of life is in order – a very basic, functional part.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ramsey added that the dressers \u201cwere badly needed.\u201d The steel dressers are made especially for high-use areas such as shelters and can be locked.<\/p>\n
