YELM, WA (January 26, 2009) \u2013 God wants people to live his dream for them, speaker Andy Tiller<\/a> told nearly 200 high school students who attended the fourth annual Making United Disciples (M.U.D) retreat January 16-19 sponsored by the North Pacific Conference.<\/a>

\n\"Kids\"Tilly formerly served on staff at LifeChurch.tv, an Evangelical Covenant Church congregation, and is part of the Covenant Speaker Team<\/a>. The event was held at the Cascades Camp and Conference Center<\/a> operated by the conference.<\/p>\n

Students were encouraged to be \u201cunder the influence\u201d of God and \u201cover the influence\u201d of their friends. Seminars included:

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0God’s Children, Not Man’s Property, which addressed human trafficking

\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Justice: Jesus-Style, which highlighted issues related to hunger<\/p>\n

Hillary Hammond, who attends Trinity Covenant Church<\/a> in Salem, Oregon, said the weekend made a significant impact. “The M.U.D retreat has made my relationship with God stronger than it was before,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Students also had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that included horseback riding, hikes, mountain boarding, dodge ball games involving more than 75 people, Rubicon Off-Road Challenge, and the annual polar bear swim.<\/p>\n
