SANTA CLARA, CA (December 4, 2001) – Great Exchange Covenant Church hosted its final preview service Sunday with more than 150 people in attendance. A Christmas banquet was held later that evening for approximately 80 people.
The church will begin weekly worship activities January 13 with a grand opening event.

Great Exchange Covenant held its first preview service October 14, with a second held November 4. The congregation meets in the Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara.
David Chae (accompanying photo), who previously served as associate pastor at Newsong Community Church in southern California, is the pastor of the church plant.
Newsong Community has been sending a worship team to lead the preview services, driving more than 300 miles each way.
Chae began laying the groundwork for a new church start this summer with barbecues and other events. There are about 30 core group members, although from 60-90 people have participated in core group worship services during the past two months.
