ROCHESTER, MN (August 25, 2006) – The new Paul D. Johnson Miracle Field joins a growing number of specially designed athletic fields around the country that accommodate the needs of challenged athletes.

The field has a special surface, similar to that of professional tennis courts, that minimizes the difficulty for challenged athletes. This is an overview of the new field in Rochester. |
| The field is named in honor of the late Paul D. Johnson, a dedicated teacher and coach who found sports to be one good means of reaching through to young people to help them with other aspects of their lives, including their academic development. | ![]() |

This plaque acknowledges the hard work of many volunteers, who raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars to make the “miracle” field become reality. |
