Visitation will be observed from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home in Moose Lake. Visitation also will be observed from 1 p.m. until the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Moose Lake.
Berg was born May 13, 1931, in Marion, South Dakota. She received a Bachelor Degree in Christian Education in 1953 from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, and a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana.
She and Walter were married August 17, 1956. Berg was a retired school teacher, having taught 44 years. She was involved in various church ministries. Her husband served the Moose Lake Covenant Church from 1967 to 1970 and again from 1974 to 1988.
She is survived by her husband; children: Cynthia Claus of Hermantown, Minnesota; Craig Berg of Moose Lake; Dean Berg of Bettendorf, Iowa; and Dianne Berg Messerole of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Ervin Ortmann of Portland, Oregon; sisters Ella Goodman of Elkhart, Indiana, and Dorothy VanderEnde of Leuven, Belgium; and nine grandchildren.
