MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (April 27, 2009) – Covenant Missionary Karl Peterson thought his son Jonathan was shaking the computer stand this morning.
The shaking was the result, however, of a 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck southwestern Mexico about 130 miles southwest of the nation’s capital, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

News reports said the earthquake shook buildings in Mexico City, sending people into the streets, although there were no reports of damage or injuries.
“It didn’t last long at all, and we are fine,” Peterson said. “The boys didn’t even feel it!”
