He replaces Tim Mosbo who with his wife is preparing to leave for Thailand where they will be teaching English as a second language. Kempe will assume full responsibilities March 30.
Kempe, who is completing work on a Master of Arts in Christian Formation degree, has been involved with the Covenant for many years, including Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp where he served as video and graphic design coordinator, director of youth ministries at Faith Covenant in Manistee, Michigan, and in a supervisory role in the Library and Fitness Center buildings on the campus of North Park University.
He has served in a variety of volunteer capacities with the Center for Student Missions, Surge Ministries, and the Making Connections Initiative at North Park Theological Seminary. He also has experience in areas of customer service, production of various publications including graphic design, and organization and administration of major activities at Portage Lake.
