CHICAGO, IL (October 5, 2009) – Stories about changes in location, leadership, and lives were among the most-read articles on the Evangelical Covenant Church’s online news report in September.

President Gary Walter announced that the denominational offices will move next year to a location near O’Hare Airport. Dr. John (Jay) Phelan, president and dean of North Park Theological Seminary, will step down from that office at the conclusion of the current academic year, it was announced.

Author Phyllis Tickle forecast changes in the way denominational structures will change, and Covenant camping leaders shared that hundreds of lives were changed during the summer at their facilities.
