
Students were encouraged to be “under the influence” of God and “over the influence” of their friends. Seminars included:
• Make a Joyful Noise to the Lord, which focused on leading worship
• God’s Children, Not Man’s Property, which addressed human trafficking
• Loving God, Loving Others, designed to help teens understand “love language”
• Racial Healing: You are the Problem and You are the Solution
• Justice: Jesus-Style, which highlighted issues related to hunger
Hillary Hammond, who attends Trinity Covenant Church in Salem, Oregon, said the weekend made a significant impact. “The M.U.D retreat has made my relationship with God stronger than it was before,” she said.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that included horseback riding, hikes, mountain boarding, dodge ball games involving more than 75 people, Rubicon Off-Road Challenge, and the annual polar bear swim.
