GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (October 11, 2007) – A memorial service for Russell Hanson, 89, is scheduled for 4 p.m. today (Thursday) at Covenant Village of Golden Valley. He died Monday.
Hanson is a former director of Covenant Press. He also was vice president of World Book Encyclopedia.
Hanson was born April 21, 1918, in Austin, Minnesota and married his wife, Eldora, on August 23, 1944. They were charter members of Shoreview Covenant Church (now Rice Creek Covenant Church) in Shoreview, Minnesota.
Eldora preceded him in death. Survivors include his daughter, Kay Ridenour; and son, Steve Hanson; and five grandchildren.
