The conference is slated for November 8-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event is part of Blog World Expo, a tradeshow and conference to promote blogging and “new media” such as podcasts, MySpace, Facebook and blogs.
GodBlogCon organizers want to encourage Christians to participate in the new media, which they say offer new ways of pursuing evangelistic outreach and to promote a sense of community among Christian bloggers.
Lindblom is one of several women who blog at Intellectuelle. “Many Covenanters have already discovered the benefits of blogs and other new media, and it is my hope that blogging might become a ministry boon to even more,” she says.
Lindblom will talk about ways blogging can minister to women. Other topics at the conference include “Identifying Impact in Culture for Christians in New Media,” “Writing Well in the New Media,” and “Developing a Podcast and Vidcast Ministry.” The keynote speaker is Al Mohler, Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
