CHICAGO, IL (December 1, 2006) – Shared ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) inspired one local Covenant pastor to prepare a PowerPoint presentation he could use with his own congregation, based on the Covenant Shared Ministries brochure distributed at this year’s Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids.

Pastor Randy Rodenborg of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wausa, Nebraska, developed the 32-slide presentation using content generated in part by the ECC’s Department of Communication and the executive vice president’s office. He graciously agreed to allow the presentation to be made available to any church desiring it.

Titled “Strong and Crazy for Christ,” the presentation leads participants through key ministry areas of the Covenant, sharing examples of the impact on individual lives and the dollar investment associated with each.

“Many people are aware of the impact of Covenant ministries provided at denomination and conference levels, but they may not be aware of the origin of those initiatives,” says Donn Engebretson, executive vice president. “And more importantly, they may not realize the important role they play as individuals and as local churches in that shared outcome, through their faithful support of those efforts.”

The presentation is available to all local Covenant churches and can be found in the “Resources” section of the Covenant website. To directly access a copy of the presentation, please see Shared Ministry.
