CHICAGO, IL (November 21, 2006) – Zondervan Publishing has begun marketing the 24/7 Experience youth curriculum first produced by the Evangelical Covenant Church’s Department of Christian Formation.

The material was put together for CHIC 2003. The seven-part video follows teenagers cross-country as they learn how to apply their faith to make a difference in the world. During their trip, the youth meet Shane Claiborne of The Simple Way, Gary Haugen of International Justice Mission, Candi Pearson, a Passion recording artist, and Ralph Winter, producer of the X-Men movies.

“When we finished 24/7, we felt it was such a wonderful piece,” says Marti Burger, director of youth and family ministries. “We just thought there were a lot of other people who could take advantage of this.”

Department leaders contacted Youth Specialties, who picked up the project. Zondervan is distributing the video because it bought Youth Specialties earlier this year.

So far, 3,000 copies have been shipped to stores, Burger says. “Zondervan told us they’re real happy with it.”  A study guide accompanies the curriculum.
