CHICAGO, IL (November 15, 2006) – The Worship Connection e-newsletter has been transformed into a blog that will allow more ongoing interaction among readers and provide better resourcing opportunities.

Katie Martinez, the acting worship arts project coordinator for the Department of Christian Formation and former director of the Worship Center in Windsor, Colorado, will post an article at least once a week. Anyone will be able to comment on the moderated blog. Martinez also plans to include additional articles and resources from the Evangelical Covenant Church worship community.

In her introductory article, Martinez writes, “This is our space, a place for Covenant pastors, artists, leaders and scholars to dialogue about the theology and practice of Christian worship. In fact, you need not be a Covenant minister to join the conversation.  We’re distinctive, but not clannish, so come on in.”

A reply to the first post is indicative of the benefit to fellow Covenanters. Don Johnson of Montecito Covenant Church in Santa Barbara, California, supplies a link to his church’s blog that weekly reflects on the week’s altarpiece.
