Alberto Ruiz, president of the Confraternidad de Iglesias del Pacto Evangelico (CIPE) and pastor of the Iglesia del Pacto Evangelico Church in San Francisco, lead the Service of Ordination and directed the candidate interviewing committee in the Vida Nueva Church pastored by Covenant missionaries Robert and Nancy Maldenado Reed, who founded the church.
The ministerial interviewing committee reflected a broad international perspective, including Covenant missionaries Fred Prudek, serving in the Czech Republic; Rob Reed, Andy Larsen, and Jerry and Nancy Reed, serving in Spain; Curt Peterson, executive minister of Covenant World Mission; local Spanish church leader Pablo Rois; and Ruiz.
“A strong vision for multiplying leadership for various ministries throughout the country of Spain and beyond was a common theme in the testimonies of the candidates,” says Larsen, “as well as a special desire to plant new churches among the growing immigrant population in Spain. This was an exciting time in the life of the church here in Spain.”
