KNOXVILLE, TN (July 14, 2006) – People traveling to CHIC might want to pack a rain pancho – or perhaps not, depending on which weather forecast one chooses to believe.
Forecasts for the week from the National Weather Service and the cable-based Weather Channel differ with regards to the chance of precipitation. The National Weather Service predicts partly cloudy skies throughout the week. The Weather Channel predicts scattered thunderstorms or showers each day.
They do agree on one thing: it will be hot and humid. Temperatures are expected to be around 90 degrees each day with the evening lows dipping to around 68. Humidity levels are expected to reach at least 70 percent.
Organizers suggest attendees bring water bottles and plan to drink plenty of fluids to keep from becoming dehydrated.
