“We want to connect women in the entire bay area,” says Kirsten Devlin, the administrative coordinator for student ministries and postmodern ministries. “We also want to connect women inter-generationally.”
Three generations of speakers will be represented. Autumn Buzzell will represent women from high school through post-college ages. She will speak about the point in her life when she realized that Christ saw her for who she is and not the “mask” she was wearing. Buzzell is an intern at Peninsula Covenant and had the initial vision for the conference.
Representing the mid-30s through 40-year-olds, Laurie Polich of Ocean Hills Covenant Church will speak about broken relationships. Pat Sikora, representing women over age 50, will speak about God’s promises in Isaiah 61 and the healing that comes in Christ.
By having women of different ages speak and attend, women can learn from a vast array of experiences, especially as they learn to work through different forms of brokenness, Devlin says. Worship, response times, media presentations, and a concert also are scheduled.
