CHICAGO, IL (December 30, 2000) – Dr. G. Timothy Johnson, medical editor for ABC News, will present the opening remarks for a conference on the inter-relationship of faith and health January 27-28 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois.
Faith and Health: Making the Connection will give participants an opportunity to:
- Explore the transforming power of Christian community to promote health and healing
- Discover the biblical foundation connecting faith and health
- Recognize how personal faith and health are intertwined
- Network with colleagues to learn how the connection between faith and health is being lived out within Covenant congregations and institutions
The conference is designed for clergy, health professional, and lay leaders interested in promoting health and wholeness within congregations, communities and institutions. It is part of a collaborative effort between Covenant Ministries of Benevolence and North Park Theological Seminary to serve the Evangelical Covenant Church through ministries of health. Registration material was included in Midwinter Conference 2001 material sent earlier.
