North Park University Invites Letters of Comment

CHICAGO, IL (December 1, 2000)  – As part of its accreditation process, North Park University is inviting the public to submit comments regarding the university to the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The commission, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, will evaluate North Park in its visit to the campus March 26-28. It is one of six accrediting agencies in the United States that provide institutional accreditation on a regional basis. In preparation for the commission’s visit, North Park has engaged in a year-and-a-half period of self-study.
Those wishing to submit comments should send information to Public Comment on North Park University, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, 30 LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, IL, 60602.
Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Written, signed comments must be received by February 26 to ensure consideration. Respondents should include their name, address and telephone number. All letters sent to the commission will be sent to North Park.
