July has been a very full month to say the least. \u00a0We’ve been busy with yard sales, selling Max’s truck, transitioning out of full time work, and a road trip to Alberta. \u00a0Max painted pretty much the entire upstairs of the Nelson Covenant Church. \u00a0It’s very\u00a0colourful now… that’s what you get when you ask a missionary to South America to pick the colours.<\/p>\n

We started the month in Riondel at Kootenay Christian Bible Camp and then travelled to Breton, Strathmore and Rosebud Alberta. \u00a0We had opportunities to meet leaders, mission committees, made a lot of new friends, and reconnected with old friends from Alive.<\/p>\n

KCBC – We had a great time at camp sharing about missions with the youth! Frisbee Golf and making candles too!
\n<\/p>\n

Breton Faith Covenant Church – We spent 2 wonderful days having fantastic conversations about Global Engagements and sharing meals with so many new friends. \u00a0Thank you Lila and Eli for the hospitality, we look forward to having more late night conversations.<\/p>\n

Strathmore Hope Community Covenant Church – This was a full week of being missional with kids at VBS. ‘Donde esta el oso?’ \u00a0We also had opportunities to share about our mission with many! \u00a0Thank you Sally\u00a0& Dan for looking after us!
\n
\nRosebud Church – This church is located in a very unique part of Alberta and we were able to share an evening of conversation and prayer during our week at Strathmore. \u00a0Thank you again Ray for the tickets to the Badlands Passion Play – this is not to be missed if you’re in the area in July!<\/p>\n

We are so encouraged by the conversations we had with all. \u00a0Thank you to all who have commited to pray for us. \u00a0We are grateful for the financial support that has followed and are excited to have people join with us on this journey!<\/p>\n


\nWhat’s Up Right Now …..<\/p>\n

Saskatchewan and Manitoba…here we come….<\/p>\n

We will be visiting Covenant churches around\u00a0Saskatchewan and Manitoba over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

While we are happy to talk about our\u00a0Mission to Argentina, we want to learn about everyone’s mission priorities and how we can develop a stronger partnership. \u00a0We love to share what the ECCC and Merge is doing.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget – Merge has a Seeds trip to Bariloche, Argentina Oct 21-30th!<\/p>\n

We are arranging storage for the items we are leaving behind and figuring out what to pack with us. \u00a0Language studies will be in Guatemala and we have been researching different options there.<\/p>\n

Next Steps …. and …. Prayer Items<\/strong><\/h4>\n

As we prepare to move to Argentina for two years we will be:
\nDownsizing and storing a few of our personal items – yes, that includes the KLRs \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Prayer for the completion of the house sale<\/p>\n

Prayer for our travels around Canada – for safety, connections, and\u00a0fruitfulness
\nContinuing with Language Studies here in Canada and then heading to Guatemala for much more intensive studies<\/p>\n

Fundraising – We are in the process of looking for people and churches who would like to partner and support us in the mission field. \u00a0 We are required to raise in funds and pledges, 80% of our budget. \u00a0Your pledges are an answer to prayer. \u00a0Please don’t forget to return your pledge cards so that the ECCC can track things. \u00a0Thank you!<\/p>\n
