Each time he said, My grace is all you need<\/em>, My power works best in weakness<\/em>.\u00a0 So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.\u00a0 That is why, for Christ\u2019s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insult, in hardship, in persecutions, in difficulties.\u00a0 For when I am weak then I am strong<\/em>. \u00a02 Corinthians 12:9-10<\/strong><\/p>\n

This month has been a lot of reflecting on the past year; a lot of embracing this new life.\u00a0 I gave two messages, in Spanish. \u00a0I was so far out of my confort zone that I couldn’t even see it anymore. \u00a0But\u00a0I was blessed to be able to share all about the Covenant and what we are a part of.\u00a0 To share about our BLESS initiative.\u00a0 I had the opportunity to share my testimony as well.\u00a0 I am looking forward to talking about the Covenant Affirmations and the history of the Covenant.\u00a0 There is a new \u2018Missionary group\u2019 within the church.\u00a0 It is a pleasure to watch people of all ages, reach out to the hospital and communities; to be the hands and feet of Christ. \u00a0Our God is alive and at work. \u00a0We drove out to Rio Chico for a weekend of outreach and sharing the gospel.\u00a0 One flat tire on the way out; this isn\u2019t uncommon on this road. \u00a0 There was a day of sharing about Christ at the public hospital. \u00a0The youth have hot dog fundraisers after church.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The weeks are full with full time school and homework. \u00a0The language is coming along and we are having some great conversations. \u00a0I am thankful for the language and being able to share deeply with close friends here. \u00a0The deep friendships that are developing could not have happened if we didn’t have something so painful to process and embrace together.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The weekends are busy with church services, lively music, passionate sermons (that I am able to follow) and always chatting with others. \u00a0I don’t think it’d be possible to sneak in and out of a service here.<\/p>\n

Shotgun, or Osito as Norma has named him, has become part of life here as well. \u00a0He gets included in photos and sharing. \u00a0But still doesn’t understand why he couldn’t drive…<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Together we shared memories of Max\u00a0in Valle Agostura, We shared tears and laughter.\u00a0 In Rio Chico we embraced our memories together.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think we can ever look at the bano without seeing Max \u2018folding\u2019 himself in and out of it.\u00a0 The roof only came to his shoulders.\u00a0 I was allowed to walk alone, anywhere I wanted at Rio Chico, and they had to drive out to get me when it was time to go visiting.\u00a0 I am truly loved on and cared for here. Even though I\u2019m older then Norma, she reserves the right to lecture me about walking alone or about the quantity of food she feels I should be eating. I am family.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The urge to hop on the KLR and ride these roads… Sigh…..<\/p>\n

October brings more spring weather, more school, more embracing. \u00a0We have an Asemblea to go to in Jacobacci Oct 13-15, I will take some time away and the ministry will continue to grow. \u00a0And in spite of my weakness, the limitations I put on myself, I am strong in Him, and I continue to say ‘Si Se\u00f1or, tu voluntad, no mio – tuyo’. \u00a0With school there\u2019s even a bit of a routine; although it changes weekly, it\u2019s still a new routine. \u00a0And for the first time in a very long time; there have been days when things feel…… normal.<\/p>\n

I will forever\u00a0be thankful and grateful\u00a0for each and everyone of you. \u00a0For your prayers, your support, your friendship and your presence in my life.<\/p>\n

Praise and gratefulness for the ECCC and the ECC – it is exciting, wonderful and I am humbled to be a part of this family – to be a Canadian Covenant Missionary! I am proud to be an ambassador for Christ with the Covenant!<\/p>\n

Prayer requests include: \u00a0the residency process, finding a home, continued learning and studies<\/p>\n

Prayer for the continued ministry here and a clearer view of my role in it.<\/p>\n

Prayers for the time at the Asemblea, for travels for all and for the leadership of the IPEA<\/p>\n

Prayers for Argentina as they face\u00a0economic issues, and for the churches as they respond<\/p>\n

Prayers for IPEA – they are focused on\u00a0vitality and\u00a0missions<\/p>\n

Praise\u00a0for the language I am learning<\/p>\n

Praise for the family and friends that I have here<\/p>\n
