For we are God\u2019s masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good works he planned for us long ago\u2026.. Ephesians 2:10<\/p>\n

After over a month on the road, we were eager to put together our credentialing papers. While first inundated with the thought of having to write a paper, this turned out to be such a special time for Max and I.\u00a0 We spent time at campsites reading, studying and discussing the questions with great friends and with each other.\u00a0 We took over tables at random libraries while driving from one town to the next.\u00a0 I would say that we were actually excited about the process.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

We couldn\u2019t wait to get home and give you all a big update!\u00a0 I am so grateful for the time I had with Max, especially over the past few months.\u00a0 Because\u00a0our<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0plan was not God\u2019s plan.\u00a0 After arriving home safely, God called Max to his true home, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

My world, my life, as I knew it was shaken to it\u2019s very foundation.\u00a0 We were all, and still are, shocked and in disbelief that Max is no longer with us.\u00a0 We miss him but we can have comfort knowing where he is.\u00a0 I like to imagine the conversations he\u2019s having now and who greeted him.<\/p>\n

Many times the question of \u2018Why Lord, Why now?\u00a0 He was your servant\u201d is asked; by myself\u2026by others\u2026 and I know it will be asked again.\u00a0 It\u2019s the way we\u2019re wired, to try to make sense out that we don\u2019t understand.\u00a0 A good friend\u2019s son said \u2018Maybe his work here on earth was done and God needed him there.\u2019\u00a0 That gives me pause and even some joy amidst the grief.\u00a0 If Max\u2019s physical work here on earth was done \u2013 what haven\u2019t we seen?\u00a0 I know Max\u2019s story isn\u2019t over, it continues.\u00a0 And what majesty awaits us around the corner because of Max\u2019s willingness to serve?<\/p>\n

I have to say a huge thank you to everyone.\u00a0 You have all been, and continue to be, the hands and feet of Christ.\u00a0 You are holding me up, and each other as we walk this path together.\u00a0 Some day\u2019s it\u2019s hard to find my own footing \u2013 Max was my everything, we were one.\u00a0 Grieving is a process, a unique journey that we each go through differently.\u00a0 But we go\u00a0through<\/em>\u00a0it, day by day, we go\u00a0through<\/em>\u00a0it, not around it, and sometimes deeper into it; but always with Christ and his Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

Our mission to Argentina, God\u2019s call on my life, now looks different; but I still surrender and say ‘Yes, Lord.. send me’. \u00a0Yes, my Argentino friends and family, we will walk into this new mission together.<\/p>\n

Max, I love you and yes, I will continue in His will as you said to.\u00a0 I know the words you heard on September 13 were \u2018Well done, good and faithful servant\u2019.<\/p>\n
