Hola friends!<\/span><\/p>\n

Josh is busy in meetings this weekend, so I thought I’d just fill you in on what my life has looked like lately!<\/p>\n

Spanish studies:<\/strong><\/span> Vocabulary and grammar structures… believe it or not I love it! So grateful to be able to learn how to properly express myself! Thanks for your prayers for proficiency!<\/p>\n

Vrroooom:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0My goal for this week was to use my USA driver’s license to obtain an Ecuadorian one. Long lines, lots of paperwork, and a countless taxi’s later I realized that this was going to be trickier than I thought. So, I’m going a different route now: I’m taking a Driver’s Education course! It’s 8 days long and then hopefully I’ll be a certified driver here! Pray this process works, I’m ready to have my freedom!<\/p>\n

Beautification:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0I have always loved decorating and beautifying the spaces I am around and so I was thrilled when God gifted me with the responsibility of re-decorating the Ecuadorian Evangelical Covenant Church’s main offices!! (this is where Josh works) The old, very\u00a0blue\u00a0<\/em>walls will soon be splashed with modern shades of “latte”<\/em>\u00a0and “greige”<\/em>. Our surroundings affect how we feel and act, and so please pray with me (yes, I’m asking for God’s grace in this decorating) that the result of all the Pinterest-ing and painting will be an office with a peaceful, professional and welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Kid’s Day:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0You’ve heard of Mother’s and Father’s Days, but have you heard of Kid’s Day?! Dia Del Ni\u00f1o is tomorrow, Sunday, June 1st. At our local church (Jipi Japa) I have been given the responsibility of managing the Children’s Ministries. This means coordinating Sunday School teachers, snacks and lesson plans as well as planning special events like Kid’s Day! We will be having games, songs and balloons aaanndd…. homemade goopy dough! After scouring Pinterest I found this recipe and adjusted it for the altitude and viola! Slightly sticky, but hopefully a really fun craft for the kids!<\/p>\n
