Sandra and Diego, a couple from Colombia that attends our local church asked us to become “padrinos” to their 6 month old baby David Alexander. Not knowing what all that would mean culturally we sat down with them and they explained that what they were wanting was a spiritual and relational connection. They desired that we would be of emotional and spiritual support as this little guy grows up and that we’d have the opportunity to speak into their lives, coming alongside, offering advice and encouragement to them. What a gift it is to be asked to be involved in this family’s life!<\/div>\n
